Good question! I graduated from a private secular university and although I love my school, sometimes I stood out as being very different from most people because of my faith. Often times I would be referred to as "that Catholic girl" on campus. I'm proud of who I am and not ashamed of it. Hence, the name of my blog it's that Catholic girl.
When did you start blogging? Why?
I first started blogging during Lent 2012. I just decided that I love talking about my faith so much that I wanted to share my thoughts in written form. Blogging has been a really good outlet for me to express myself. I hope my reflections have touched people's heart and helped them in their own faith journey.
What are your favorite Catholic devotions?
I love to go to Mass on Sundays with my family, Eucharistic Adoration, and pray the Holy Rosary. I have a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother and her Immaculate Heart. Plus, my favorite novena is the 54-Day-Rosary-Novena.
What made you post the Rosary videos on YouTube?
A while back I posted a video on "How to Pray the Rosary" for those who are just learning the prayer. It dawned on me that a lot of people don't know how to pray it, but want to. After reading through the comments, several people suggested that I should put together a video series of the entire Rosary. So I did what they asked me to and now it's up there for anyone to pray with me! Click here to view the playlist on my channel.
What are some of your favorite saints?
Hmm...that's hard. I have lots of favorite saints!!! Of course I love the Blessed Mother. I have a high respect for St. Louis de Montfort and his writings about the Rosary. I also have a strong devotion to St. Philomena, patron saint of young girls and impossible causes. My Confirmation saint is St. Anne, the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus. I also love to read quotes from St. Augustine and St. Francis of Assisi. St. Anthony of Padua is another one who is always helping me out when I can't find things—so I thank him very much for that! St. Paul is the patron saint of my home parish, such a great Apostle of Christ! And I also love St. Clotilde, St. Agnes, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Teresa of Avila, Blessed Pope John Paul II, and Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Favorite things, in general?
I love to watch Disney movies and go to Disney World!!! I'm pretty much obsessed with anything and everything Disney. (Ok, not obsessed... I just really like it!) Someday, I wish to grow up as a Disney princess and live happily ever after with my Prince Charming in the Cinderella castle. lol. (jk!) But for real... I just like to hang out with my friends and do fun things, like going to the beach, dinner, movies, nights out swing dancing, adoration, and church of course! My favorite food is Italian, pasta to be specific. I love chocolate! Every now and then I'll watch cheesy reality TV shows for some light hearted entertainment. Favorite genres of music have to include pop (like Carly Rae Jepsen), jazz (like Michael Buble), country (like Taylor Swift), and Christian (like Matt Maher).

When did you go to Medjugorje?
I went in the summer of 2010 for the annual Youth Festival. It was an amazing experience! I went with my family and Mary TV. We ended up staying at the home of one of the visionaries, Ivan Dragicevic. Every night we were present for an apparition of the Blessed Mother and attended the international Mass outside of St. James Catholic Church.
