About Danielle

Visiting Ringling in FL on the Sarasota Bay.
Hello dear friends in Christ! I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog. Let me introduce myself. My name is Danielle Duet. I am from the Tampa Bay area, located in Florida, and live with my wonderful "Catholic" family. I have an amazing dad, a very sweet mom, and a lovely younger sister. We attend Mass together regularly, every week, on Sundays and on Holy Days of Obligation. Our favorite prayer devotions include the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, novenas to our patron saints, and Eucharistic Adoration. Also, my friends from church and school have blessed me tremendously with their prayers, love, and support! I am so grateful to have them in my life. I cherish my family, all of my friends, and my Catholic faith very much.

Medjugorje
In 2009, I graduated from the Academy of the Holy Names High School, with honors, and was voted "most sincere" for senior class notables. After, I attended The University of Tampa. During my Sophomore year of college, the summer of 2010, my family and I took a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herezegovina. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget! I love that entire little village, which is fully surrounded by the presence of Our Lady. A year later, in 2011, my sister and I spoke at the National Medjugorje Conference held at the University of Notre Dame about our experience in Medjugorje. We spoke in front of a large crowd of about 1,000 people. It was a great opportunity to share our story with others. I have also been working with Mary TV, in South Bend, IN, for a while and even created the organization's logo in 2010. Being with Mary TV made it possible for me to go to Medjugorje and to meet so many wonderful new friends.

Recently, in 2013, I graduated from The University of Tampa with a BFA in Digital Arts. Time flies by so fast! I just remember starting college not too long ago. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed every bit of it. Now I am looking forward to what the Lord has planned for my future as I begin graduate school at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. After much prayer and discernment I felt called to the Catholic Studies MA program at St. Thomas—even though it is very far from home. I believe this will be a terrific experience for me to grow and learn about the faith in a wonderful Catholic institution.

Meanwhile, I will try to keep up with my blog as much as I can throughout the summer and during the school year. As you can tell, I like to wright reflections about things that happen in daily life and try incorporate that with the Catholic faith. I hope to reach out to young people and help lead them in the right direction to follow Christ. Thank you for reading! I appreciate your love, prayers, and support. Enjoy! Take care and God bless you.

Sincerely,
Danielle Duet

"Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. May your prayers be as strong as a living stone, until with your lives you become witnesses. Witness the beauty of your faith. I am with you and intercede before my Son for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call."
